Town of Spring Hope Governance

The Town of Spring Hope is a council-manager form of government. The Board of Commissioners is the decision making board for the Town of Spring Hope and the manager implements the policies of the Board.

Board meetings are generally the first Monday of each month or the succeeding Tuesday ​on holidays.

The Board of Commissioners and Mayor also comprise the Board of Adjustment for the Town of Spring Hope. Board of Adjustment meets as needed.

Main Street America™has been helping revitalize historic commercial districts for more than 35 years.  The Town of Spring Hope Small Town Main Street is part of a national network of more than 1,600 neighborhoods and communities, rural and urban, that share a committment to place making and building stronger bonds through preservation based economic development. 

The Town of Spring Hope is a North Carolina Small Town Main Street community as designated by the N.C. Department of Commerce Main  Street & Rural Planning Center.  The Town of Spring Hope is charged with administering the program at the local level and building public-private partnerships to spur economic development to achieve measurable outcomes in investment, business growth and retention, and employment.
