Spring Hope Depot Project
In 2023 the Town of Spring Hope received an $800,000 Rural Transformation Grant from NC Commerce for the restoration of the Spring Hope Depot. The grant funds the adaptive reuse of the depot into an event center.
In 2024 the Town of Spring Hope received a $537,500 Rural Downtown Economic Development Grant from NC Commerce to design and construct a multi-use platform adjacent to the Spring Hope Depot. Both projects will be constructed simultaneously and the renovated Depot is slated to open in 2026.
Community Economic Development Assessment Plan
In May 2024, the Town of Spring Hope Board of Commissioners adopted the Community Economic Development Assessment Plan (CEDAP). The CEDAP was a five- month effort utilizing public input toward formulating core economic development strategies in the Town of Spring Hope.
